I read the whole series and loved them all. Vi Voxley is a talented author. I highly recommend this book and the entire Brion series. Hunt them all don and you won't be disappointed. My only complaint is that they weren't numbered, so I had to work a little harder to figure out which order to read them in. You don't HAVE to read them in order, but it helps.

A young Brion looses her fated then becomes one of there best healers, a Brion warrior after training meets her for a second time, there are always turmoil and questions but you should read to find out what happens.
Although I liked the descriptions of the environment, the aliens and the Briand's, I was very much put off by the number of times I saw such basic grammatical errors like, "him and the Commander arrived at the same time." The author needs not just an editor for continuity but someone who knows basic English.
This story was better than the first one. I don't buy these stories to read about bloody, gory battles like in the first story. This one is more about the two main characters. I really liked both Narath and Urenya, they are both sweethearts. The good thing about the first two stories is that they give you background for the next book.
This book, along with the others in the series, held my interest from the first page until till the very end. The development of story line was good. The author has developed the cultural background that supports the action of the characters and helps the story line reach a believable end. If you like action, aliens (good and bad), romance, sex and battles ,you will love this book. Read the whole series. They are that good, trust me.
3.5 Stars. This is an entertaining sci-fi romance book. I like the world that the author is starting to develop and the Brion people and their ways. I think this book was actually better than the first book and I'm really looking forward to reading the first full length book in this world. The characters are as well developed as can be expected in under 100 pages and the plot is interesting and fairly complex considering the length of the book. I don't read a lot of Sci-Fi but I'm a fan of this series so far and look forward to more.
Why is that when you find a series where the first book is really great and the next thing you know your attacking the whole series. This was my epiphany when I started this book. And as I usually have more than one book going at once it is no wonder I am so behind in my writing but I am catching up.

Alien Warrior's Wife takes place primarily on the ship so them leaving the ship turned out to be my favorite part. The good news is I really like the characters but it seemed like Vi Voxley spent more time fleshing out Urenya than she did Narath so as you read this book you will get to know Urenya a lot more than you will Narath. Then of course there was the very hot sex that happens once and the masturbation in the shower was pretty steamy.

The storyline had lots of potential but given that this book was so focused on Urenya and Narath that the world that the author is creating with her series seems pretty two dimensional unlike the three-dimensional series that Lauranne Dohner writes, in her New Species books not every scene has the main characters that are being focused on adding to dimension to the series.

First of all, I'm a major fan of Vi Voxley's Brions and the universe they live in, thus I'm inclined to be a bit more forgiving of this less-than-stellar entry into the Brion Brides series. Urenya, who as a very young woman met - and immediately lost - her fated mate, becomes a healer aboard a Brion battleship. Against all odds, Narath, one of the warriors aboard, meets her and becomes her second fate mate. Their bonding becomes the meat of this very short book. Nice, if all you want is a smexy alien romance novella. For me, the disappointment occurred when the author glossed over the loss of Urenya's first fated and rushed through her reaction. All her growth as a character happened as a result of that loss and the way she dealt with it - or didn't - and we are robbed of what should have been a beautiful coming of age/second chance romance. Given Ms Voxley's considerable writing talents, that one would have been a five-star favorite. This one is three-star ordinary.
