In general, this book is very well-crafted, with plenty of excellent twists and turns throughout the story.

By way of a warning for those who care, there are several adult "situations" in this book, but there are no explicitly graphic bedroom scenes. The authors are skillful enough to get the story across without turning the readers into "peeping toms," for which I am very grateful. Oddly, though, NONE of this book's characters--many of whom were depicted as practicing Catholics, and especially, the local parish priest, a main character--seemed the least bit aware or concerned that people who are unmarried to one another simply aren't supposed to do those sorts of things, in the first place. Did they ALL receive lousy faith formation (very likely), or are the rules simply different for the Church in Ireland (not likely)? I liked the authors' first collaborative work, BENEATH AN IRISH SKY, a bit better, for several reasons, but especially for the unseen major character's strong personal moral code. (It's good to know at least ONE person was doing what he or she is supposed to!) It was because of the excellence of their first book that I was willing to purchase this one and give it a chance.

The book is captivating. I know the authors and have followed their writings almost since they began. I know that makes me a little partial, but it has been a fascinating read so far.
Easy read
A fun read! The characters are vividly developed and fun to follow through the novel. I'm only half way through the book, but since asked me to review it now, I'd thought I'd give it my thumbs up since I'm enjoying it so much. I can't wait to see how it ends as the secrets unravel!

Love love love this book. Lots of twists and turns with a message. Lots of love,friends ,family and forever love. This book d deals with bullying and handles the reality of it. Please hurry up with another book.
Do NOT under any circumstances buy the audio version of this book! The reader says “he” when it should be “she” and as a result trying to keep track of the characters is light trying to untangle a knotted ball of string. I’d gotten this book to entertain me while I was taking a long drive. Never got through the first chapter before I switched over to listening to music.
This book has everything - a wonderful setting, interesting characters and a plot that will keep you intrigued until the very end. As a young girl in a small Irish village Rachel's family was torn apart by bullying. Now she's a grown woman but she's not forgotten her promise to get revenge. She returns only to find things aren't straightforward and to keep her promise she may destroy far more than the guilty people from so long ago. Finn, a charming Australian actor, is struggling with tragedies in his own past and Rachel has to decide whether to trust him with her secret as they fall deeper in love.
