12 rounds was a pretty good read. It had just about everything I like in a hero. A cocky, hot, bad boy fighter. Who can resist that? It's Also got some mafia related theme which I love too. I really liked the hero. I'm a sap for the tattooed bad boy. The hero is definitely drool worthy. :)Things I didn't like. Things that stopped me from giving it a five star rating.
I feel like the connection between H and h could have been stronger. It lacked chemistry. Their was no intense build up. Their was minimal interaction between the two. I would have loved to have more scenes with them together. It was like one day he says I like you and want more. Without this it all seems to fall a little flat for me and believe me Sean is one of the heroes you wouldn't forget if the heat factor was there. It just wasent. It leaves you hanging for book two. Its like half of the story. Hopefully book two has a little more spice because this didn't have it at all. For all you ladies that like smut. Sorry their is none in this book!
I also didn't like reading Connie's POV. Maybe their is a point to this in the long run.
Will I read book two?. Yes, I am interested enough to see where this goes! It has potential.

12 Rounds Knockout Series Book 1 edition by Lauren Hammond PWL Editing Services Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
A bit slow. A lot of things internal dialogue probably not a repeat read for me but others may enjoy it more
Sean is a young-old tortured soul. Left with a little sister and left with no parents, he (so to speak) sell his soul to the devil aka his uncle Connie. He does everything he can for his sister, even things that could kill him. He hide from his feelings, friends, and relationships, has meaningless sex all in effort to keep a boxing only life. Until he meets/ saves Hadelle, then things get complicated......
I want to say I never review books and I read a lot of them. I wanted to write review because I wish I would have been warned. The book leaves you hanging and I’ve read that the author is not finishing the series. This is such a disappointment because I loved the book and wanted to see what happened to the characters. The author may write other great books but I would be cautious of buying anything else by her. 😞
I was so excited to read this book, and in some ways it totally delivered. Sean is super hot and I love the premise of the story. The flow is great and moves along at a good pace. The main thing that made me rate it as a "3 star" book was the editing. There were some things in the story that I honestly couldn't believe. First, the spelling of the main character's name changed a few times, sometimes Hadlee and sometimes Hadley. It was very distracting! Also, in one chapter, Hadlee's (or Hadley's?) roommate Lara drove a Ford Focus & literally the next chapter, she drove a Mitsubishi Eclipse. I loved the story but was so distracted by the inconsistencies in the details. The ones I've listed were not the only ones...
I hardly ever write reviews & I feel bad writing this one. The only reason I am is that I'm hoping the author hears of some of these editing errors & can fix them, because the story is otherwise fantastic!
I must say that I was really looking forward to reading this book and was left wanting more!!! Lauren does a great job of building up the characters and developing the story line but I was expecting more between the two characters together. But what we did get to read about the two characters was great - Sean comes from a rough background (and HOT!!) and Hadlee's history is not something that is easy to overcome and move on from. I am hoping that with so much build up in this book between Sean and Hadlee that in book 2 we get to read about these two together more. Lauren did a great job of making you want to come back for more - I definitely want to know what happens next.
I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
Book was really well written. I usually don't care for first person narrated books but this one had a bit of a twist that made it appealing. It is told from the point of view of the Hero, the heroine and what would be the villain (for lack of a better word), each person changes with each chapter. Each says enough for you to really understand their point of view and the current situations. Additionally it moved at just the right pace where it kept you wanting more. I felt the characters were well developed, the author focuses on building their character through situations rather than description. Sean and Hadlee are characters you care about and want to see together.
What I didn't like? I didn't realize it was a series so I was unhappy that it ended ) While I was reading I kept looking at the percentage left, worrying how it could possibly fit enough into the final pages to make it. At the end I figured it out...to be continued. I look forward to the next one.
I definitely recommend this book.
There is alot of "background" information for the 3 main characters of this book. If you are looking for something super steamy from the get go, this isn't the book for you. I was glad that there was alot behind developing the main characters, but after awhile I was thinking "Come on.. get the show on the road already..." and the more I started to read, the more I seemed to get hooked on the book. I am definately ready for the next one to come out so I can see how this is all going to play... the suspense is killing me!!!!
If you are looking more for that "tormeneted" story, I think that this is the right book, that will eventually lead you to love.. but if you are looking for something that will satisfy your appetite after a FSoG type of thing.. You won't get that.. not from the start away.
